This is one of those things that you may not find funny but I never want to forget how Luke pronounces some words. Today he mentioned "Adio Jones" which is one of my favorites! Translation? Indiana Jones!

Oh, the Irony!

Luke had his first chapel at school this week.  I asked how it was and he said they sang songs but couldn't remember anything else.

When Ryan and Andrew got home I asked them about it and this must have triggered Luke's memory because he started squealing saying something funny happened.

He said, "Mr. Brown got on the stage to talk to us.  And guess what?  He is NOT BROWN AT ALL!!"

Is That French?

There is a song in Tangled where a guy yells "Thank You"! Luke always sings it as "Hup Too"!
We've argued over it every time we've watched the movie (10,000 times) and every time we've listened to the song on my iPod (20,000 times).
After all of these times he finally said, "Did you know that Hup Too means thank you??"

Dr. Ryan Stout

There were a ton of bees swarming all around the karate building tonight.  We all made a run for it to the van and when Ryan jumped in he yelled, "Whew!  Just made it.  Good thing because aren't I allergic to bees?"
I explained that we didn't know since he had never been stung, but there's a pretty good chance of it since Don is allergic.
He replied, "I know I'm allergic.  I get a really weird feeling whenever a bee is around me."

PreK for Sharks

School started today for Luke! Last night he asked, "Mommy, you mind if I could tell kids my name is Sharkey?"

When he got home today I asked if he had done that and he said, "Yeah but just to one kid and he already knew my other name."

Not Employee of the Month

Luke just came to me sobbing. I finally figured out what he was saying... "Ryan and Andrew said I was fired!"
Not sure what job he held but I guess a new job search starts this afternoon...

Cheesy

Like most people right now, we have a bad case of Olympic fever.  So yesterday we had our own version of a swimming relay.  Ryan was swimming the first leg and Luke, Andrew and I were on the deck cheering until it was our turn.  Andrew and I were yelling things like "Go USA!" and "Watch out - here comes the French team!"  when Luke started yelling, "Go Cheeseburger!!"
He yelled it a hundred times and Ryan finally stopped swimming to ask what he was saying.  When he realized it, he told Luke, "You know I don't like cheeseburgers!"
So Luke started yelling, "Go Grilled Cheese!"

This reminds me of something funny from last year at school.  Mind you this is last year so Ryan was in 3rd grade.  He said he wanted to eat lunch at school that day and they were having cheeseburgers.  I'd never questioned it before but for some reason that day I thought about it and asked why he liked school cheeseburgers and wouldn't eat them anywhere else.  He replied, "I don't eat the meat."  Glad to know his lunch money for three years was well-spent.
